Rafisaheb was a greatest singer in the Hindi film Industry which conquered for the last 35 years. He sang with all the female singers also. He had a unique voice and sang many type of songs like classical, romantic, sad,emotional. Rafisahab sang 24,000 songs in his 35 year career. He sang under almost all the music directors. He suddenly died on the year 31st July 1980.

I liked all the photographs posted on this blog, particularly the Rafi Sahab and Lata Mangeshkar photos. One can see the commitment that the playback singers had in those days with little support from the audio equipment unlike the today's advanced technology. Despite these, the voice was much clearer, the diction superior and the rendition was of a superlative quality. Alas! that kind of music is now embedded in the cassettes and CDs and etched in the memory of the music lovers of the true kind. Good work by posting such a unique blog with most of the rare photographs.
